Size 10 jeans, please - Some help, please! Recently I’ve taken up walking as part of my daily exercise, because I’ve read that it one of the best things you can do to tone muscles, burn fat, and help the body in general. But I just read that it was aerobic exercise and that it can actually burn muscle. But it uses slow twitch muscles-so they should tone up, right? If it burns muscle, then why is walking (and other aerobic exercise) considered so good? Ugh, I’m so confused.

I'm a Canadian whovian nerdfighter who is made of awesome but I don't feel it with my body. My goal is to be motivated, and to fit into size 10 jeans to be as awesome as I feel on the inside while living in New Zealand.

Some help, please! Recently I've taken up walking as part of my daily exercise, because I've read that it one of the best things you can do to tone muscles, burn fat, and help the body in general. But I just read that it was aerobic exercise and that it can actually burn muscle. But it uses slow twitch muscles-so they should tone up, right? I think walking is great. Especially if you’re just starting out, or you you need a rest day but you still want to be active.

Personally, if you’re doing aerobic activities like excessive running, training for marathons, or just souly doing cardio based exercises for weight loss yes you will hurt yourself more than good. Too much of anything can be bad, that’s why it’s called too much.

I personally like cardio, but I want to be strong so I also do weight training. It doesn’t make you bulky if you’re a woman unless you’re eating heaps amounts of protein, and taking steroids. Swimming is great for cardio and strength, and my personal favourite is circuit training as well! The list is endless! :3

Go a head and walk! Just incorporate weight training as well to help gain muscle and to be toned :D

Hope this helps anon!
